We have had a lot of patients come to us for weight loss surgery because they have been recommended by other patients who have been with us, and who have said good things about us, about Dr Cierny and the team and the way we all look after them. I guess it also helps when they notice their friends losing weight and start asking why!

We’ve always been very grateful for these recommendations, and thankful that our patients have trust in us and what we do.

We have been thinking how we can express our gratitude for these recommendations.

Because the hospital is becoming a European Bariatric Centre of Excellence it has now been able to negotiate a better price with the equipment & material suppliers for bulk purchase – and therefore charge us a bit less for Sleeve operations.

We will be able to charge a little bit less for the Sleeve Gastrectomy in future AND we are also able -from now - to give you a little reward as a token of our thanks for any patients who come to us for either Sleeve or Band surgery as a result of your recommendation.

From today, if you recommend a patient – either for Sleeve or Band - we will send you a cheque for £150 as soon as they have had their surgery. We are changing a question on our medical form to allow them to tell us that you have recommended them, but you should also e-mail us to let us know that you have done so.

The costs for Cosmetic Surgery and Weight Loss Balloons are so high that we can’t do it for referrals for any of these procedures, sorry to say.

Unfortunately we aren’t able to backdate this reward for patients who have already been with us as a result of a recommendation, but for those who have already been recommending patients we want to say a big thank you – we really have appreciated it.

If you wanted to choose to donate a part of your reward to Dr Cierny’s hospital to go towards the costs of research on Bariatric surgery, please let us know and we will see to it that your donation is presented.
