How I am feeling following arranging and having the Gastric Sleeve Surgery with Dr Cierny & Cosmetic Bliss:

March 08
Finally picked up the courage to do something to help me with my Biggest problem – MY WEIGHT
!!!!  So ashamed that l got that big - heaviest 16+++ Stone
Cosmetic Bliss was the firm I decided on. Following a phone call to them I felt at ease, filled in the pre - medical questionnaire as required and just hoped I would be accepted.

YES accepted and date arranged end of April 08. 2 weeks to go pre op diet (not too bad, easy to follow) and did lose some weight

Day of travel
Long journey to airport. Michael and Deborah were there as arranged. There were 2 more girls having  the surgery (travelled with me). Hotel very clean and friendly and rooms comfortable.

Day of admission to the clinic
Up early ready to go to clinic Dr Cierny there to meet us and explained all tests, all ok on paper.

Day of surgery
Went down for the procedure. Sadly unable to complete gastric sleeve due to small problem (that if I had not gone for the surgery I still would not have known there was anything wrong!)
Dr Cierny and his team were the best I could have asked for with all relevant tests and correspondence for my GP to follow up and treatment as needed. Cosmetic Bliss were fantastic as when they say they look alter you they do - and they made my Husband aware of what was going on. Arranged my flight home and kept in touch with me during tests results.

June 08
Been given go ahead  and am able to have procedure done as all test done and successful. Arranged surgery for August 08.

August 08
All went well this time had my surgery on the Monday. Pain was not as bad as expected ( felt like heavy period pain or if I had upset stomach ) Was up out of bed Monday night (with assistance of course) to bathroom. Each day got easier and pain free on going home. So good as went on holiday to  Turkey 2 days after getting home and felt great - flight was no problem.

September 08
Feeling good, weight coming off and not hungry at all. Have been sickly more than expectedll Possibly due to trying different food too soon.

December 08
Now on to the road to a smaller me and yes, that is what has happened!

Since end of August I have lost weight every week, some more than others. Now able to shop where I want to, not just BIG SHOPS where there were clothes that fit!
: And for the first time in over 20 years I have worn a dress above my knee. I am pleased.
